Applications
Automated inspection of various pieces and
materials :
- Tubes, bars, plates inline inspection
- Pig probes for pipelines inspection
- Machined parts, forged parts inspection
- Metals, composite materials, ceramics, plastics..
Advantages
High sensitivity and s/n ratio (+10 to +50
dB) compared to conventional immersion transducers while keeping
a large bandwidth (60% to 90%)
Main characteristics
- Active part in piezocomposite material
- Active size from 1mm to 300mm
- Centre frequency (-6dB) : from 200 kHz to 20 MHz
- Relative bandwidth (-6dB) : 60 to 90 %
- Circular or rectangular active area
- Flat or focused active area
- Acoustic impedance matched to water
- Watertight stainless steel housing
Options
Custom wiring
- cable or connector
- cable length, type or positioning, type of connector
Housing adaptation to mechanical set-up (probe
holder..)
Adaptation to environmental constraints
- Temperature up to 180°C in continuous or 250°C
- Pressure up to 150 bars
- Nuclear radiation, shocks, vibrations.
IM series
Several applications do not require custom
immersion probes. For this purpose, Imasonic has developed
the IM series. more
